A HISTORIC HOME, RETURNED TO SINGLE-FAMILY
A stately brick home on Belmont Boulevard, in the heart of Nashville's Belmont-Hillsboro historic district, had over the years been divided into a triplex. Maker reimagined it from the studs out, restoring it to the singular single-family home it was always meant to be. Because the property sits in a protected historic district, every plan and exterior decision went before Metro Historic Zoning for approval; working with drafter Jason Feller of Feller Home Design and interiors by Of Origin Design Studios, we preserved and restored the original facade and materials at the front of the home while rebuilding everything behind it for the way people live today.
Architectural integrity, contemporary luxury
Inside, the home balances timeless character with the comforts today's buyers expect. Across nearly 6,000 square feet and three levels — connected by an elevator — six bedrooms, three fireplaces, and a finished lower level meet a full Control4 smart-home system and refined modern finishes. A new carriage house and two-car garage were designed to look as though they'd always belonged, while a fenced backyard with an in-ground pool turns a historic city lot into a private retreat. The result is a home that honors its past on the street and lives like a thoroughly modern luxury residence within.
