Originally built as a 1990s family home, this Brentwood residence was thoughtfully reimagined for a new chapter when the clients relocated to Tennessee. Maker Construction partnered with Of Origin Design Studios to transform the home into a modern, light-filled retreat while respecting the existing structure and setting. The renovation focused on a complete first-floor transformation and an extensive interior architectural overhaul. The layout centers around a dramatic double-height great room, where arched windows bring in abundant natural light and create a strong architectural focal point.
contemporary yet welcoming home
A soft-modern design approach guides the interiors, with layered neutrals, warm textures, and subtle contrast throughout. A former window was thoughtfully reimagined as a doorway, enhancing flow and connection between spaces. Custom millwork, sculptural lighting, and refined finishes elevate the home without overpowering it. The result is a space that feels contemporary yet welcoming, grounded in craftsmanship and designed for everyday living and gathering.
